ShaleShockMedia is a growing network of video and audio producers and still photographers who are concerned with the deleterious effects of shale gas extraction on our environment, economies, and spiritual lives. Musicians, poets, painters, puppet makers, painters, performance and other artists are also equally welcome to join the network.
Our network is also open to organizations working on these issues who wish to contribute their own media, or need to connect with those in the network who can provide technical support, such as AV support at forums, or who might apply their art to enhance public events and deliver a graphic message. We also provide each other with mutual technical assistance.
You can showcase your work here, for sure, but it is also a place to share. Network members will have facilitated access to media for their own remix or derivative work under Creative Commons license. The social networking side of the site will encourage collaboration.
